Assistant Director

The Assistant Director supports the daily operations of the center by providing leadership, guidance, and oversight to staff, students, and families. This position is responsible for coordinating and conducting teacher training to ensure instructional excellence, classroom management, and compliance with center policies and procedures. The Assistant Director works closely with teachers to monitor lesson implementation, assess student progress, and provide academic support to ensure children are meeting developmental and educational milestones in a nurturing learning environment.

In addition, the Assistant Director manages employee scheduling and staffing needs to ensure proper classroom coverage and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable Texas Child Care Minimum Standards and Texas Rising Star standards by conducting classroom observations, maintaining documentation, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives. The Assistant Director serves as a positive role model for staff, promotes professionalism and teamwork, and helps foster a safe, organized, and engaging environment for children, families, and employees.

Preschool Teacher

The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons that support the academic, social, and emotional growth of preschool children. This role includes creating weekly lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, conducting ongoing progress assessments, and maintaining accurate student records.

The Lead Teacher manages all aspects of the classroom, including establishing routines, maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment, and promoting positive behavior through effective classroom management strategies. The teacher also supervises assistant staff, communicates regularly with parents regarding student progress, and ensures compliance with all licensing and center policies.

Strong organization, communication, and a passion for early childhood education are essential for success in this role.

Driver
Be enthusiastic about working with children and believe you are here to make a difference in their lives! Must be physically able to perform the job of a driver. Must have a good driving record and be approved by our insurance. Must have a warm, supportive attitude toward children. Must be reliable.  Must be willing to perform other duties as required.
  • Drop off and pick up children from local schools and transport them back safely to our learning center.
  • Assist the afterschool teacher in monitoring children until parents/guardians arrive
  • Ensure transportation equipment is clean, well maintained according to minimum standards and learning center policies, and safe at all times.
  • Observe and monitor youth activities on the van.
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures, signs of child abuse, and how to report suspected child abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
  • Engage in ongoing staff development to improve personal and professional skills.
  • Effectively communicate with children and parents.
  • Promote the center’s philosophy and educational objectives.
